Adult Choir
When worshippers compliment me on the choral selections, I tell them our sound comes from hearts in love with the Savior, Jesus Christ. I can honestly tell you the members of Grace Choir seek to serve and worship our Lord God, and it truly shows in the sound! We seek to honor Him with every note! We sing each Sunday during the morning service at 10:30 am. Our practices are Wednesday nights at 7:30 to 8:30 pm (or so...)Our presentation of "Canticle of Christmas" was sung on December 8th and 10th in 2006, with 29 folks singing. It was beautiful! (if I do say so myself - very unbiased, of course) Each hour of practice contains work on 4 or 5 new pieces as well as one or two old favorites.
There is no auditioning for membership in the choir - if you know salvation through Jesus Christ and want to sing His praises, we'd love to have you join us!
Kid's Choir
Our children's choir consists of all girls at this time! We have 8 - 10 girls learning great songs. We have practice time on Wednesdays at 3:30 - 4:00. We try to remain serious for the first 20 minutes, digress to silliness for the next 5, practice 1 main song 1 more time, and then close with a goofy song (or shout) of "Little Cabin in the Woods". Grace has purchased 3 octaves of bells and they sound beautiful! Our adult choir meets Tuesday evenings at 4:45 - 5:45. We have 10 or 11 men and women ringers (depending on if I beg Rick to pick up a bell to help me out!) With 3 octaves, we play anything from moderately easy to difficult. Pray for us!My goal is that the adult bells play once a month from September through May, with extra pieces during the holidays and other special occasions.
Children's Bells
We have 9 ringers, boys and girls, ages 7 - 13. These kids are quick studies, and surprise me most of the time! We have 3 pieces almost ready to play. The hardest part for this group is to get all 9 ringers at church on the same Sunday! We'll make it! Practice is Tuesdays at 4:00 - 4:30 pm.It is my delight to lead these choirs. What a big blessing I get each time we practice, sing, or play, due to the devoted hearts of all involved.
